EXTRACURICULAR ACTIVITIES
In June 2001, gathered
footage for a missions/evangelical video among the Yanomamo Indians in the Venezuelan
rainforest. Also directed, edited, and co-produced the project. The finished
video, Ill
Never Go Back: A Shamans Story, (the testimony of former shaman Chief
Shoefoot) has sold hundreds of copies since its completion and release in March
2002. Profits support the Yanomamo church.
During my senior year of
college, I was station manager for the on-campus radio
station. I was responsible for hiring volunteer staff and for program scheduling.
I was also the talent for the morning show.
Recently, I acted as co-producer
of an hour-long video parody
of 'The Lord of the Rings.' It was completed in November 2003.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
1988 - 2000. I volunteered
my time at Silver Birch Ranch,
a summer camp. I worked my way up from a support staff worker to crew supervisor
(1995, 1996) and finally to staff director (1998). Directed, shot, and/or edited
promotional videos for them (1992, 1994, 1995, & 2000).
